The short version

Our free tools run entirely in your web browser. What you type into them (your rates, clients, jobs, bank details) and any files you open with them are not sent to us.

What the tools store

Pay Check saves your details and jobs in your own browser’s storage, so they’re there next time on the same computer and browser. We can’t see them. Clearing your browser data removes them. Bank details you type for an invoice are never saved, not even in your browser.

What we collect

Our web host keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the site running. [If you add analytics: name the service, say it doesn’t use cookies or track you across sites, and link its policy.] If you sign up for updates, we keep your email address so we can tell you when a new tool is ready. That’s all it’s used for. It’s stored with our web host (Netlify) and never sold or shared. Every email has a way to unsubscribe, or write to bryan@signalthroughnoise.tv and we’ll remove you.

Third parties

The pages load fonts from Google Fonts and a PDF library from cdnjs (Cloudflare). Those services receive standard request information, like your IP address, when your browser fetches those files.
